That was about five years ago, and since then we crossed paths from time to time, each time I pop into her warehouse, where she sells a curated selection of hand selected items she has found at various spots she has sourced over the years. Not only does Tricia host high profile estate sales herself, but she also sources her own pieces for the warehouse space she calls home to her business, Popup Home, on Jefferson Blvd. The pieces in my office are pieces she’s sourced from her experience in the industry for 20+ years. We’ve been shopping for months and both of us have spent countless hours at markets and buying appointments all over LA and surrounding areas, putting together this group of vintage items for our first drop.
A few months ago it was surprisingly hard for me to find patterns and fits that flattered my body, being so petite (petite meaning I’m only 5’1). Laer x myself decided to develop two styles of biker shorts that are flattering to all body types, not only petite girls, but taller girls as well, in so many different patterns. This biker short collab was essentially something I did for myself and my own wardrobe, that turned into something we wanted to actually produce and offer to everyone else, not leaving you guys out! We have been testing fabrics and fits, so I apologize if some colors popped up a month or so ago, that aren’t available to purchase, but we’ve finally approved color ways and fits, everything available is on Laerbrand.com Laer and myself are working our hardest to get the orders that were already placed to you guys as quickly as possible, thanks for being patient for those of you who have ordered.

My entire life I’ve been partial to wearing platform boots and shoes and over the top high heels (not stilettos! ! ! ! ! ). Walking into a department store or shopping online and trying to avoid super high heel height boots feels like a battle field for me, me vs. platform shoes. I’m finally succumbing to my constant urge to fill a void that may not realistically need to be filled, seeing as I own an entire wardrobe of platform and high boots, and coming to terms with my addiction. This season I’m going to go with my gut and keep investing in shoes that make me feel confident, like these Stuart Weitzman thigh high, 3 inch +++++ boots.
