So far I’ve started doing ab work a few times a week at the end of some of my workouts… I’m headed to Mexico in a week from today, and while I wish my body was more bikini-ready overall, I know I’m on the right track. As far as the rest, I’m working hard in the gym using the progressive overload method of weight training, and also have added a few heavier cardio days (mostly on the stair climber) to aid in fat loss. I don’t regret doing it, and having done it doesn’t mean I’ve tried any less on my own to get my body back.
The good new is…this weekend and next week look to be getting into the high 60s and 70s. I am not sure I am going to wait that long to do ab workouts though, as that seems excessive since it’s generally OK for most at 12 weeks. I think I’m just sensitive to it, I may have underplayed how I would feel about it before I had surgery and now that it’s here My oldest son wasn’t with us though, as he had a youth group function going on all day (I’m sure he had more fun hanging with his buddies).
Well, if you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen my recent stories where I announced that I had aggravated an old back injury during last Friday’s Insanity workout. It is always a bit alarming because what happens is, my back sort of seizes and a sharp pain radiates from my lower spine out to my hips and sort of makes my entire lower body feel weak
Y’all, those of you that follow me on Instagram may be aware I just switched from doing Transform20 to doing Insanity instead for the time being. Here are the facts on the switch: I do love Transform20
