Nonprofits, no matter their size or mission, are working to change hearts and minds around important issues every single day. Whether you are trying to get new members for your performing arts center, to entice people to adopt dogs and cats, or to create advocacy actions around climate change – you are in the business of persuasion
Did you get an email from Facebook letting you know that the call-to-action button on your nonprofit Facebook Page is going to be changed and/or eliminated? If you are already signed up and registered with Facebook’s donation tools, no worries – you will still be able to use the Donate button and raise money via the platform. However, if you have been using the Donate button to link to your own website’s donation page, this functionality is going away – and you need to be prepared. If you live in a country where Facebook’s fundraising tools are available and your organization has charitable tax exemption status, you can apply to accept donations directly on Facebook.
