And because the nature of blogging and Instagramming is to post good photos with a well-written caption, it’s easy to develop an unhealthy obsession with seeking “perfection, It’s okay to be not okay. I hadn’t used my camera or tripod in a long time, but I challenged myself to take these self portraits, something I’d never done before in the 5 years I’ve been blogging!
It’s been just shy of a year since I’ve last blogged! 2017 was a doozy, so let me summarize what happened and fill you in on what I’ve been up to lately. Ready? GO
There is a self-imposed pressure to consistently post only the best photos with only the best captions, because that’s what is expected. Years ago, I used to post photos on IG whenever I felt like it. Wherever I go, whatever I do, I feel like I have to take a bunch of photos and/or share it on my Instagram Stories, and it takes away from being in the moment. It was a size Small, and yet, to me, it fit like a size XL in terms of width.
