Mascara, revisted.

It’s been more than five years since my last mascara post, and in that time I’ve bounced from Ardency Inn’s Liquid Lash Extensions is a tubing mascara, which means it forms little water-resistant “tubes After curling your lashes (unless your lashes are naturally curly, you lucky mammal), apply ONE coat of Liquid Lash Extensions while slightly wiggling the wand as you move outward toward the tips of your lashes. Speaking of which, while my constantly-watering left eye (damn you, juniper pollen) has meant that I can’t wear any mascara on my lower lashes for the time being, shedding a few tears doesn’t seem to disrupt this mascara.

Happy 15th birthday, For Like Ever.

In fact, even when Village reprinted them on the back of a type specimen poster a year later and offered them for sale, they still didn’t become a thing. Then Brian Murphy of Loeffler Randall bought one, framed it, put it on the mantel in the Brooklyn apartment he shared with his wife, Jessie Randall…and here we are back at the first paragraph of this post, when the September 2006 issue of Domino hit the stands with Max Kim-Bee’s photo on the cover, and Jenkins’ From a design standpoint, For Like Ever is a triumph. Ever even comes in a bunch of other colors and sizes if you’re not feeling like pink and red (which is weird of you since that’s one of the best color combos ever, but you do you).

Paula's Choice RESIST Triple-Action Dark Spot Eraser 7% AHA Lotion.

I’ll put together a full post detailing all of the steps and products in the near future, but one product I LOVE that deserves a dedicated post is Paula’s Choice RESIST Triple-Action Dark Spot Eraser 7% AHA Lotion. That said, yes, I do look younger than 43 (whatever 43 is supposed to look like? ), and I am sure that’s at least in part due to genetics, but I’ve worked hard to get the texture and clarity of my skin where it is. I read about a bazillion reviews, and after testing out a few samples, I decided to order a full-size tube of Paula’s Choice RESIST Triple-Action Dark Spot Eraser 7% AHA Lotion, aka PCRTADSE7AHA lotion. My holy grail skin product is still Lotion P50 (♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡), but Paula’s Choice RESIST Triple-Action Dark Spot Eraser

Blush String shelves.

I wasn’t planning on posting anything this weekend, but I was just looking at Finnish Design Shop (for something completely unrelated), and what’s this…? Rather than the pale pink tone that I tend to associate with the name “blush,” these shelves look like they’re a bit more warm and deep, almost like a washed-out terracotta. By the way, a few months ago I did some research to try and figure out the least expensive way to buy String shelves in the United States, and taking into account VAT/shipping costs, Finnish Design Shop seems to be the best option. Anyway, it’s a helluva lot cheaper to buy them here than it used to be, which makes them even more tempting.
