Popping in to say we miss you all! Social media has fallen on the back burner for myself and the pups lately. The good news is that my maternity leave has been spent bonding with our tiny human and enjoying the company of the pups. I’m surprised at how much caring for dogs prepared me for this new chapter. Is it different? Of course. However, the dogs taught me how to be selfless, how to put other beings first (even on two hours of sleep), and how patience and love go hand in hand. We miss you all and will try to catch up soon. I’ll give an update on how each pup is handling their new baby brother soon!
Two years ago we made the ten-hour round trip to meet Elvis. It’s been one of the best decisions we’ve ever made. He’s a sweet reminder that love, patience, and care can go a long way if you’re willing to put in the time. He relied on us to see him for his full potential. Now I find myself relying on him to show my other three how to coexist with their new tiny human. Checkout any baby food with limited ingredients that are dog-safe. I opted for an organic sweet potato babt food made with just sweet potato and water. Can’t please them all. 🖤 Don’t let one person’s expectations of you ruin your day. 🖤 Yoda is a perfect example of how dogs have their personalities, and factors that drive them. He generally has zero interest in post-creation that doesn’t involve something he loves. Which is chasing his ball or sleeping. And, that’s okay. I love that each of my dogs has their own personalities, and I don’t expect them to all be treat driven, ready to pose for photos, or want to do what I want to do all the time.
