December snuck up quick and I just wanted to take a moment to share a few small businesses I would like to support this Holiday Season… and every other day of the year! These nail polish strips make great stocking stuffers and many of the holiday sets are restocking today! the top two on my list are books and fighting racism, so with that in mind, I wanted to share a couple of my favorite small, black owned businesses I would love for you to support this season! Fight the Spread LLC is a small business I support who has great t-shirts and masks, among other things.

It became a creative outlet, an inspiration for me to really learn about building a business and it became a way to connect (and reconnect) with women I hadn’t seen in a long time. I signed up for every free webinar, watched youtube videos and started going live myself and posting my own videos. The people you thought would be by your side weren’t, while acquaintances from 20 years ago came out of the woodworks to send flowers and cards or drop off dinner. We all know the internet can be a negative place and too much screen time isn’t good, however, during this time of social distancing, social media can also be used for good.
Did you ever notice that sometimes, when you’re doing really well and feeling really good, there’s always that Debbie Downer who wants to rain on your parade? Learning so much, having so many laughs and building a team and business along the way. The best part of it all, is that I can be independent and run my business as I want, but when I need suggestions or a sounding board, this team of ladies is here to support me all the way!
