Seeing tremendous architectural and art history of the Notre Dame cathedral burn in Paris this week got me thinking about why it felt like a hit in the gut to so many people. I know this blessed place is a human-made interpretation of what is mysterious, unknowable, and undefinable and while seeing her burn brings tears to my eyes, I know even flames cannot diminish her sacredness. Annunciation – Fra Angelico Madonna and Child – Raphael Sunrise – Monet Place de La Trinite – Renoir Garden in Bloom – Van Gogh Pont Neuf, Paris – Renoir Path Through the Corn – Monet I look around my own home, and realize the time I studied art history has influenced the pieces I have collected over the years.

I’m really loving the pastel and earthy tones, and since we need a new comforter I’m thinking Urban Outfitters 50% off spring sale is just the time to go for it… Urban Outfitters’ spring sale covers all categories, and select bedding and home items are 50% off. The good thing about bedding, throws, or pillows is that they can make a room feel like new on a relatively low budget. P.S. I am working on writing a post that can help break down the steps to designing a room so that you can feel more confident in making your own house feel like a home.
There has been such a big crowd shift to social media platforms, and I see how a good portion of our readers are just consuming our content on instagram. It requires us to treat both spaces differently, and creating content for both spaces can be very time consuming. We decided to scale back on the quantity of posts, and focus on getting you quality content that is more resource based. I’d love to hear your perspective:) Cutting back on the blog content does give us a little more freedom to create video content though!
