Palawan island has become famous for its tropical scenery and island hopping, but in a head-to-head comparison of Coron vs El Nido which is better? Accommodation in Coron is a little cheaper and better value than El Nido, although it’s mostly budget hotels with only a few luxury options. El Nido has the best beaches and arguably the best island hopping, but Coron also has phenomenal island tours and much better snorkeling. Need more island hopping info for Coron or El Nido before you visit?
The Pura Kehen Temple is an ancient Hindu monument in the Bangli area of Bali, Indonesia. Like other temples in Bali, the Pura Kehen is divided into 3 sanctums (outer, middle, and inner), each with different degrees of holiness according to Hindu beliefs. The outer sanctum of Pura Kehen has a banyan tree that’s known to be at least 400 years old, and it even has a little tree house pagoda at the top where priests can go to pray. In my opinion, the best thing about Pura Kehen would have to be the impressive carvings on the main gate, and the 11-tiered black and gold pagoda in the inner sanctum.
Kanderawatu Waterfall is a nice hidden waterfall in the Tomohon jungles, near the city of Manado in north Sulawesi, Indonesia. He's a super experienced tour guide and his price for driving is 650-700k IDR ($50 USD) for a full day trip (12 hours) in the Manado area. We stayed at Istanaku Guesthouse 2 in Manado city and paid $20 USD for a double room with cold A/C and a hot shower. It’s a 5 minute walk from a KFC restaurant, and a short drive to the Manado waterfront if you plan to visit Bunaken Marine Park for snorkeling.
Desa Tincep Waterfall is a nice roadside waterfall in the Tomohon area, not too far from the city of Manado in north Sulawesi, Indonesia. The local Indonesian name for this waterfall is Kengkang Timbukar, or Air Terjun Desa Tincep (which means Tincep Village Waterfall). He's a super experienced tour guide and his price for driving is 650-700k IDR ($50 USD) for a full day trip (12 hours) in the Manado area.
