Based on my experience, personal social media pages, and managing my personal brand, I have learned that these are the platforms that each generation typical uses: On TikTok, a service that provides “snippet videos ranging from 5 seconds to 60 seconds, companies are already downloading the app and getting creative with the use of their videos. Recently, I saw Sephora, a personal care and beauty company, had made a video that showed up on my TikTok feed which showed how one artist played with makeup. To maintain and expand your audience, it can be difficult for companies to want to adhere to every platform and have a constantly changing advertisement.
I, probably like so many others, have put my mental health to the side for many years because in my head, I thought “ I was insecure, felt ugly, felt “undateable”, felt broken, and felt lost. But over the years and through traumatic events, I still always felt like it was my responsibility to make sure that no one else ever felt this way. It wasn’t until recently that I realized that my mental health and my happiness were being jeopardized by allowing the actions, thoughts, and words of other people affect my life.
A lot has been going on in my personal life that has made me feel less inclined to write or create. Just being there makes me feel like I am taking a break from adulting and letting my mind have a break. For months, I have been surrounded by a lot of negative energy from this incident and going to my happy place had to stop for a while, which broke me. I couldn’t go to the place that made me feel happy and step away from the stresses of life.
Typically, my favorite outfit is shorts, a cute Disney tank or tee, converse or Nikes, and my backpack. My look included a boxy jacket (that feels like a utility jacket) along with my favorite tee shirt from a small shop called 2319 Threads (you can check them out here). (This bag is sold out, but I highly recommend you check the kids’ sections at Target, Zara, and Forever21 for cute purses that can help tie your look together). When it comes to your style, don’t let other’s opinions steer you from something personal and probably really cute/cool!
