One particular area Kam enjoyed had multiple stations with various activities all involving science and the exhibit is appropriately called How Does It Work? They also built a city just for kids called Kidtropolis, complete with a bank, city hall, veterinary clinic, grocery store, news station, an ambulance, and a restaurant, just to name a few. And if you’ve got little ninjas in your family then the Ropes Challenge Course will be right up their alley as well as the massive 40ft Power Tower which starts at the basement and allows kids to climb all the way up to the top floor of the museum. We definitely recommend putting the Children’s Museum of Houston on your “Things to Do” list when you are visiting Houston, Texas with the kids.
we happened upon this food fest at Rockefeller Plaza, there were over 20 food stands from various restaurants around NYC, so we got to try a lot of really good food all in one place. Milk Bar – dessert queen, Christina Tosi’s, establishment serves up some really good soft serve in the form of cereal milk, which tastes just like the milk at the bottom of your cereal bowl. We love the huge variety of places to eat that this food hall has to offer. The Plaza Food Hall – this little known food hall is located in the basement of The Plaza by Central Park.
We decided to go to Great Wolf Lodge for one last hurrah before the school year started for the kids. But when we turned onto Great Wolf Lodge Way they both started screaming and yelling in excitement! The indoor water park was so much fun that we practically had to drag them away. Magic Quest is kind of like a scavenger hunt where you are running around the hotel like a crazy person in search of clues while waving a magic wand to take out dragons and other monsters.
From there we went to Washington Square Park to see the Washington Square Arch and ended our day in Greenwich Village to eat dinner at a Japanese Yakitori joint. Upon arriving at Rockefeller we were pleasantly surprised to discover a food fest going on called Rock Eats, complete with multiple food stands and live music. Day number 4 opened with the NDSS Presentation and Buddy Walk Kickoff in Times Square where we took lots of pictures and met some really cool people. Then it was off to the Buddy Walk at Central Park which was followed by a huge party filled with music, games, and dancing with all those really cool people we had met earlier in the day.
