Happy early birthday Becky! We didn't just bury your twenties. We wadded that decade up and dunked it into the grave 🪦⚰️ We've always said we wanted to do our birthday celebration together and just never happened to get it together. Well, it may have been an accident (me forgetting my birthday and all) but we finally did it! #nola #30thbirthday #31stbirthday
2023 was quite the whirlwind. One minute @hooter_craddock450 and I are driving through Florida and the next we are putting a down payment on land in Missouri to build our beginner homestead. It's hard to see how far you've come in such little time when you're constantly on to the next thing, but taking the time to look back like this really puts things into perspective. I love this little life and all the twists and turns that seem to keep coming. #2023 #newyear #homestead
Just a few small moments that have made me happy recently. 😊 My life has been pretty simple lately. I haven't been traveling to exotic places, doing new things everyday, or pushing myself as much. And somehow, I feel just as happy now as I did when I was chasing accomplishments and places. If not happier. I've been working on finding inner peace more and more rather than searching for constant stimulation as a source of happiness. And somehow I feel myself happier just hanging out with my puppers, snuggled up to @hooter_craddock450 or acting like a fool with my soul mates.
🔊 When I feel frustrated and fed up with the world, the best medicine is sitting in the backyard, letting nature seep into all of my senses. Nothing brings me back to reality quite like it. #spring #nature #springflowers
I was so confused when @hooter_craddock450 called this an underwater cave. This is a cenote and anyone else is wrong. #cenote #underwatercave #devilsden
Just a cute little moment of us waking up. #dogsofinstagram #vanlifediaries #vanlife
Portable batteries are the easiest and fastest way to get electricity in a camper van. With a solar set up you can enjoy electricity in a camper van without ever needing to plug into an external source to recharge your batteries. The only problem with using solar to get electricity in a camper van is you have to have continuous sunlight to keep the batteries charged. To properly install a battery isolator, here is a link to an article showing you how to install: Generators, like portable camp batteries, are the easiest way to get electricity in your van without worrying about how you’ll keep it charged up.
Here are some things that make it more convenient: Finding space for new things is inconvenient because there really isn’t any. When you start adding new things to your collection, there’s usually not a space for it. You could start adding things like bikes and kayaks to the outside of the van or bungee things like surfboards and skateboards to the ceiling. Here are some things that make it more convenient: Say goodbye to a thermostat because you probably don’t even want to know what the temperature is inside your van at all times.
Travel has a way of opening people’s eyes to things that they have never thought possible. n’t think anyone could truly understand what’s happening to our environment, what it’s like living with almost nothing, or why people do what they do until you’ve seen it up, close, and personal. There’s no better way to come up with new and improved ideas than gaining a new perspective. There’s no better teacher than the perspective you gain from seeing and experiencing the world around you.
Van life sucks, don’t do it!” or “Van life is a fairy tale and I have a perfect life!” There’s no way to say that van life is going to suck for everyone or be perfect for everyone. Financial freedom, location freedom, freedom from time, freedom from materials, and probably any other type of freedom you can think of. I don’t think there has ever been anything quite as rewarding in my life as moving into a van.
