Review: Pat McGrath Skin, Fetish Sublime Skin Perfection Foundation

… I bought the Sublime Skin Foundation during the last Sephora VIB sale, because it promises medium coverage, but with a skin-like finish. She warms it up in her hands first, and then applies it to the face like a moisturizer, then she buffs out areas like the sides of nose and around the eyes with her fingers. By 3pm, I couldn’t handle the shine anymore, so I decided to blot, which resulted in lifting up a significant amount of remaining foundation that was on my face. I don’t like using things that rely on other products in order to work for my skin, so my journey with the Pat McGrath foundation was a short one and I ended up returning it.

Peach and Lily Best of K-beauty Awards- My Top Five Picks

If you’re new to Korean skincare and are not familiar with Peach and Lily yet, it’s an online K-beauty shop that is based in NYC. Led by founder, Alicia Yoon, Peach and Lily has been busily and happily sharing its K-beauty knowledge and curating the best of the best of Korean skincare. When Peach and Lily recently emailed me to see if I’d be interested in helping to share their first ever Best of K-Beauty Awards winners, I was thrilled to accept! This is what I like to do… Double cleanse and do the earlier routine steps, then apply an eye serum (or any serum that’s ok to use around the eyes), then apply the eye masks, then place a sheet mask on top.

My Favorites from Tata Harper

I can’t recall exactly how I came across Tata Harper’s line a few years ago, but I do remember falling in love with the brand’s story. So, when I bought my first Tata Harper products a few years ago, I did a lot of research before making my first order, but I was still skeptical if they would perform as well as the non- green products in my routine. Her brand motto is “Beauty Without Compromise,” and when I use Tata Harper’s products, I can attest that the brand actively work towards that goal. Like all of the Tata Harper products I’ve used, I love the way this smells!

Review: Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser

However, everyone has their small selection of products that they consistently repurchase, and the Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser has definitely made its way into my re-buy group. Although I have very oily, acne-prone skin, I like to use gentle cleansers to help maintain my skin’s moisture barrier. I use acne medications and acids that can sometimes be drying, so I like to pamper and nourish my skin with gentle products in the remainder of my routine. *UPDATE on 7/19/17: Since the time that I first posted this, Glossier changed their referral policy so that their Glossier rep referral links provide the biggest discounts.
