That day from 4 to 6 p.m., guests can toast the opening of Di Beppe’s patio overlooking Carrall Street by enjoying a reception-style outdoor mingler featuring $4 Aperol spritzes and complimentary samples of the restaurant’s new ‘Cicchetti’ options such as egg with anchovy and olive, tuna conserva with pickled pepper and olive, prosciutto di Parma panino, and navy bean salad with espelette pepper, among others.
Aperitivo Hour’ features an array of cocktails (Aperol spritz, bicicletta, aperitivo americano, negroni), $8; vermouth (Cinzano rosso, Cinzano bianco extra dry), $3; vino (rosso, bianco, rosato, prosecco), $5; birra alla spina for $4; and an assortment of snacks, signature pizza alla palla and dolci such as tiramisu, cannoli and Amaretti bonet.
Located in Vancouver’s historic Gastown district, Di Beppe conjures up an unabashedly authentic Italian spirit in a family friendly caffè, deli and grocery with an adjacent ristorante by night showcasing regional Italian cuisine such as house-made artisan pastas and Sorrentine-inspired pizza, delectable dolci and a wide array of Italian wines and specialty liqueurs.
