Our hotel (iSanook Residence) has been a haven for us- from the heat and the frustrations that come from not understanding the dynamics of the city. Another observation is that I feel like westerners are giant people, as we quite frankly tower over The Thai. The Thai people love to eat- and they take pride in the food that is theirs to share with the world. I love spicy food, but I had no idea what spice was until I spooned on some red pepper seasoning last night- thinking it was similar to red pepper flakes in the US, only to find my mouth on fire within two bites.

We arrived safely in Doha, Qatar after a fantastic flight on Qatar Airways. I’ll do a full review on the webpage for airlines, but I will just say that I HIGHLY recommend this airline for a lot of reasons- service, legroom and entertainment being a few! The Doha Airport is incredibly beautiful, which is to be expected from the main airport of the wealthiest country in the world! 😂 One benefit of flying on QA is that they offer guided tours of Doha, if you have more than a 5 hour layover.
