When I heard about the opening of Alive + Well in Bee Cave and their gluten-free Elle’s Cafe & Coffee, I knew it wouldn’t be long before we made our way over to try the food. He then told us about an upcoming community dinner they were hosting the following weekend that would be completely gluten-free to provide a full dining experience that many gluten-free people miss out on at most restaurants. I think it’s a great opportunity for people who have been diagnosed celiac or have gluten sensitivities to experience a dinner out that is worry free and focused on healthy ways to enjoy food that might typically be made with gluten ingredients. If you’re looking for a completely gluten-free restaurant experience or just delicious healthy eats, look no further than Elle’s Cafe & Coffee at Alive +
As we were getting used to not having a pet around and discovering what our new lives would be like, we came across a sweet cat in need. After spending some time together and getting her more comfortable with us, we decided that I would stay with her and he would go to the nearest pet store to buy food so that we could at least feed her for the night. We decided to leave her so that she could enjoy some food in peace, so we walked home and talked the whole way about what our next move would be. I was starting to feel like she would be okay to leave for a few days if we had someone to come and check on her, so I found a pet sitter on Rover who seemed like the perfect match.
The alcohol vendors with larger attractions were on the outskirts, the demo tents were along the river’s edge, the live fire pit was up front near the entrance, and the food and drink vendor booths were set up in four rows right in the middle of everything. The last few highlights of the Austin Food + Wine Festival were the cooking demo tent, tasting sessions tent, meet the maker tent, and the Fire Pit where all the grilling took place. We had a game plan for making our way around all the food vendors, we went directly to our favorite drink spots upon arriving to fill up for waiting in the food lines, and we even found ourselves in the middle of a dance party toward the end of the event! Her post got me really excited to attend, and she even made the bold claim that if she had to choose between Austin City Limits and Austin Food & Wine Fest, she would choose the food and wine festival.
