Hi, I'm Gemma. I'm a British content creator, travel blogger, and digital marketer with a degree in journalism. I've been living in Vancouver, Canada for the past 8 years as an immigrant. So many of us look forward to the festive season with lots of gifts, food and time with loved ones but it isn’t a joyous occasion for everyone. With my parents gone, and no special someone to enjoy the festivities and exchange gifts with, Christmas can be a little lonely and frankly very underwhelming. My favourite thing about winter, and the holiday season is spending time indoors snuggled up with blankets, Lily and hot chocolate watching movies and reading books. So, my first gift guide for 2020 is about all things cozy. All of these gifts are in the $20-$60 price range. However, I only recommend products or services that I genuinely like and trust.
I was spending time every day searching for rentals, going to view places and walking the streets looking for ‘for rent’ signs. You’ll have to put any unexpected difficulties down to bad experience and quickly move on to find out what else your new life overseas has to throw at you. There is no doubt that you will experience low points when you feel frustrated or lonely and just want to get on the first flight back home. The work you put into making a new home for yourself abroad will be rewarded many times over and every challenge you overcome will make you feel stronger.
