Hideaway Cafe celebrates 10th anniversary with giant concert

On April 13, The Hideaway Cafe will host X Fest — and indoor-outdoor live music and market extravaganza featuring 30 local vendors and 16 bands. 16 local bands to perform during the celebration Betty Fox Band, Danfield, Blackbird Morning, Ella Jet, Dean Johanesen, Rebekah Pulley, Kirk Adams Band and Someday Honey are all set to perform at Hideaway’s X Fest outdoor mains stage. The venue is shutting down 18th Street South and packing it with a stage, an outdoor bar, and vendors selling vinyl, vintage goods and instruments. Their neighbors at The Burg Bar & Grill, Lolita’s Wine Market, Avid Brew Company, Spitfire Theater and Neosoul Cafe are all getting in on the fun.

Metro Inclusive Health is changing the face of community-based healthcare. With over 100 health and wellness services offered in a state-of-the-art and high-tech facility, insured patients that use METRO for their primary care and prescriptions are in turn making it possible serve un or underinsured patients. Just by walking through the door at one of their four Tampa Bay locations, and at no extra cost to them outside of their normal copay, insured patients make it possible for METRO to provide services at a steeply discounted rate, or even for free, to uninsured patients. Focused largely on care for the LGBTQ+ community and their allies, in 2018 METRO’s services touched 18,204 people directly and another 8,874 through outreach for a total of 27,078 lives impacted.

Friends of Strays brings goat yoga to local brewery

The beloved Cage Brewing is hosting a goats and gulps happy hour in the Grand Central District on Saturday, March 23. Friends of Strays will take over Cage’s beer garden for the afternoon for this adorbs happy hour. The inaugural event has officially sold out, but due to the wild outpouring of support and interest, Friends of Strays is already working on a second incarnation. The Goats and Gulps Happy Hour begins at 3pm and runs for an hour in the Cage Brewing beer garden, which is located at 2001 1st Avenue South.
