ICYMI: this felt like it was worth the feed. Like millions of others, we bought our Peloton bike at the peak of COVID. Since the day it was delivered Sydney has been obsessed. She’s consistently asked how long until she’s big enough to ride it. It wasn’t long until we started Googling “kids’ Peloton” and found a tutorial by @lauraadney for a kids’ lookalike bike. There was no question this is what we’d be getting her for her birthday. The only issue? The mini smart bikes were recently discontinued by the manufacturer. But thank you, @ebay! The cost and effort was totally worth it. Since we gave her the bike on Friday she’s been telling us multiple times a day, “me ride the bike so me get big and strong.” She wakes up wanting to ride it, and she’s so proud of it she’ll show anyone who’ll play along. June 4 is a big day in our house. Sydney turns three today and it’s also our fifth wedding anniversary. When we got married, we always imagined a life with kids. We never imagined, however, we’d be spending our second wedding anniversary in the hospital with Sydney’s amazing birth mom. That experience makes our anniversary even more special. The secret’s out!💥These three Mouseketeers are hoping to become a set of four as we write the next chapter in our adoption story. Over the last several months we’ve updated our previous home study, built a profile book and online profiles, and signed up with an agency. Now we spread the word and wait. We anticipate it’ll take quite a while before we match with expectant parents, but we’re hopeful we’ll connect with the right individuals when the time is right. We’re broken records, but parenthood has been the greatest blessing. A day never goes by that we aren’t grateful to Sydney’s birth mom, and we are very excited to continue our adoption journey.
