The countdown is officially on until we leave Missouri and head back to Arizona and I couldn’t be more excited. I would be remiss though if I didn’t mention that there is something I am really going to miss … and that is my tribe

It all started a couple of months ago when my friend at work told me that Chris had requested that I be off work for both June 15 and 16. As of June 14 I still didn’t know anything other than I was not going to work the next day. Once we hit St Louis Chris finally told me we were going to CHICAGO. We snagged some tickets for the Centennial Wheel as Chris had never been on a ferris wheel before.

I was hoping to write a fun and happy post for today but unfortunately Mother Nature had different plans. This last weekend where we live in central Missouri got 10+ inches of water and has caused massive flooding. My commute to work is currently on detour (and over 2x as long) because the interstate looks like this: This poor quality photo was taken during the height of the flooding and shows one of the entrance gates to Fort Leonard Word where Chris works. And while everyone is trying to get roads opened and repaired as well as survey all the other damage done we are expecting another 2-3 inches of rain between today and tomorrow.

Chris and I got to go to Cabo San Lucas last week to celebrate the wedding of our dear friend and had a blast. Chris has missed nearly all of his friend’s weddings due to obligations with the Army so when we realized we could make it to Trey The wedding was held at the JW Marriott Los Cabos Beach Resort so nearly everyone stayed on site. Thursday when we got in we got settled before grabbing a cocktail and heading down to the village.
