The Adler Hotel Hinterglemm is set right in the centre of Hinterglemm and is a large hotel with two restaurants, a wellness area, three swimming pools, a gym and plenty more besides. If you’re looking in this area for a hotel Hinterglemm really works as it’s connected to over 270 kilometres of ski runs in the winter, equally for Saalbach Hinterglemm apartment stays the Adler rooms come equipped with kitchens and facilities to cook up a storm. The apartment had a large entrance area which also had a heated floor and this was perfect for getting ready and kitted out in the morning – and when we got back from a day out, to take all our kit off and leave the hats and gloves and ski wear in that space by the door and retreat in to the cosy apartment. The hotel also puts on a complimentary bus which takes you down to the main ski school in Hinterglemm at the start of the day, between 9 and 10 am and returns you back between 3 and 4 pm.

One of the big draws of the park though is Vigeland Sculpure Park which is within Frogner Park and contains more than 200 sculptures by Gustav Vigeland. The Fram Museum is a really special place, giving an insight in to Norwegian polar exploration (and it’s close to the Viking Ship Museum so easy to combine the two on a day

Add the peppercorns to a large frying pan with the oil and heat until fragrant and then crush in a pestle and mortar 2. Fry the vegan ‘pulled pork’ in the pan with the crushed peppercorns until browned. Mix and simmer over a medium heat until the sauce thickens and add to the items in the frying pan.
