The safety precautions that rental car and ride-sharing companies have put into place made me feel comfortable during my travels and also seem to do the trick to minimize potential exposure to the virus. If you do not feel comfortable staying in a hotel, or if you want a larger space that is complete with extra bedrooms and a kitchen, then renting a place on Airbnb is a safe option while traveling during the pandemic. I can honestly say that I felt both safe and comfortable traveling domestically over the last couple months using the tips for traveling during a pandemic covered above. While this will be our first trip outside of the U.S. since the pandemic began, we feel comfortable with the safety precautions in place at the Hilton resort and do not plan to leave during the entire stay.

Like the Kaka’ako location of the Waikiki Brewing Co., Honolulu Beerworks isn’t in a touristy location on Oahu. n’t have my islands confused; this brewery does hail from the island of Maui, but they have an Oahu location, and it’s a massive open-air, family-friendly facility in the heart of Waikiki. This is the perfect brewery to visit for craft beer fans staying in Waikiki who don’t have a rental car or don’t want to pay for an Uber / Lyft to one of the other breweries I covered in this post.
