This Season’s Change cocktail is the perfect drink to sip during fall and easing into winter. The baking spices in the apple syrup are warming, while the Clément V. S.O.P. Rhum Agricole Vieux and a great addition to any cold weather holiday happy hour or evening. The Clément V. S.O.P. Rhum Agricole Vieux was the perfect addition to this spice flecked, apple and coconut tipple. All of this combined is what makes it so perfect combined with the apple and spices syrup in the syrup and baking spices from the aromatic bitters.
I put together a holiday craft for everyone to do while on the call, complete with vintage holiday glassware, craft supplies, and vintage holiday decor from eBay. The Craft, Cocktails and Cookie party included making a vintage style tinsel wreath, sharing cookie recipes, and mixing up a favorite holiday cocktail together: Landing on black ornaments originally was not the best idea (they are impossible to find it turns out!), but eBay luckily had a selection of black Christmas ornaments that were just what I had in mind including chic black and white marbled ornaments. foam wreath for the base, a silver tinsel garland, the perfect velvet mustard ribbon, miniature vintage style bottle brush trees, and LED candlesticks to add a warm glow.
A French 75 meets Poinsettia with a kick of ginger, this Cranberry Ginger Sparkler is an easy, but festive drink to mix up for holiday celebrations. Fresh grapefruit, lemon and cranberry juice and muddled ginger elevate this drink with out any infusions or hard to find ingredients. This Cranberry Ginger Sparkler would be perfect mixed up for a holiday party or served up on Christmas Day for brunch. In fact, I recently mixed up a variation of this drink for a virtual company holiday party and it was a hit!
I recently partnered with eBay & ShopStyle for the holidays, I was excited to show how I use my go-to new and vintage entertaining pieces to create a lovely environment for a special meal, long conversations, and tasty drinks with close loved ones. I was trying to figure out how to make strategical without compromising my favorite dishes- how can one choose between mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, and stuffing… Another appliance that I have had on my list forever is a sous vide machine. To save room in the oven, I used the sous vide to perfectly cook a broken-down chicken for 4-5 hours and then finished it in a pan for 1-2 mins for a perfect crispy skin. Cranberries can be tricky to work with for infusions, they have a thick skin that doesn’t impart much flavor but heating them too high to break the skin releases the pectin, which can cause the infusion to become jelly-like.
