As much as I appreciate my straight, manageable hair, sometimes I prefer to curl my hair before I start styling it. In this hair tutorial I transformed my pin-straight hair to voluminous waves using the Infiniti Pro by Conair Grooved Curling Wand. This casual hairstyle is great if you love the look of fishtail braids but don’t have time to them. You can wear these hairstyles casually to school and work but you can dress them up for Proms, weddings, bridal, graduation, etc. This hairstyle looks like a simple knot but the technique I used prevents your hair from coming undone. I find it works better on curly hair so if you have pin straight hair like i do, definitely curl your hair the night before to save time in the morning. I seriously have no idea what took me so long to try out this voluminous french braid hairstyle that Elsa sported in the movie. When you add some hair extensions and tug it out like what I did in the video, it really gives the standard braid an extra oomph! If you decide not to add the extra volume like I did, you can wear this hairstyle casually to school and work but you can dress it up for Proms, weddings, bridal, graduation, etc. This braided hairstyle will work on medium to long hair and it’s best done on straight or wavy hair.

For today’s hair tutorial, I will show you how to do a Zipper Braid / Suspended Infinity Braid on yourself. I got 5 inches cut off at base and 10 inches off the shortest layers. I initially wanted 3-5 inches off but my hairstylist & friend ended up cutting more. I’m happy with it though and I’ll show you how to dye it lighter in my upcoming video.
