I’m super excited to announce the opening of The Studio at East Coast Creative, a new shared space for entrepreneurs and artists in the Philadelphia area! The Studio has been home to me and the East Coast Creative/EC2 Productions team for the past 3 years. Located in the Philly burbs ( hello beautiful Bucks County PA) , The Studio is a 1100 sq ft natural light space with a flexible floor plan that’s able to accommodate a huge range of creative projects. So, my challenge was helping a family of four who wanted to flip their formal dining room and their living room in the historic, 120 year old home they had just purchased. I used Purdy’s 2 Inch Stiff Putty Knife to wedge in between the molding and wall and then lightly hammered down to break the seal. By bringing the color down the wall about 21 inches with the help of a level, chalk line and painter’s tape, this high ceiling looks even higher and will be the first thing people notice when walking into the room. It turned out pretty cool and I know the homeowners will get some questions about it, which is kind of cool as they can explain it’s a unique DIY art project and sound a little fancy.

I always wanted the chance to be in a similar makeover situation and when Jocelyne and Monique Lamoureux approached me about working with them to makeover each of their nurseries, I knew my Trading Spaces moment had arrived! ! It’s a peel and stick product, but it’s real wood and so simple to install. It comes in a variety of different finishes, but for Monique’s nursery I went with the Barnwood collection in Driftwood Grey.

We’re revealing my makeover of Jenna Kutcher’s Maui Condo! So, of course when I had the opportunity to head to Maui and help Jenna and Drew give their new rental condo a facelift, I was 100% on board!
