Think of Guides as blog-like, longer-form content that allows users to organize content in a new format. They live in a new tab on your profile similar to tagged photos, Reels and IGTV and can be created using pre-published posts, places, or product listings from a creator’s account or public accounts. They allow users to visit your page and easily access the best of your content – and the best of what others have posted of your property Once a Guide is posted you have the option to share the guide to your Instagram Story.
Comforts at sea, wonders on shore, and an ‘Exclusive Use’ option for friends and family Charles Darwin made it to the Galápagos Islands on the HMS Beagle residing in a poop cabin just 110-feet-square – room enough for two others, the ship’s library, and a mast. Marketed exclusively by leading tour operator INCA (International Nature & Cultural Adventures), Integrity is the crème of the cruise circuit in the Galápagos, lavishing guests with comforts and perfectly sized for friends and family to explore the archipelago in style through a new Exclusive Use option well suited to the current moment that offers private use to groups of 4 to 10 travelers to safely share an adventure they’ll never forget. Galápagos Adventure offers an exclusive, unbroken 8-day itinerary, sailing east-to-west – or west-to-east – instead of the traditional north-to-south, to maximize time for exploration and reveal hidden gems guests might otherwise miss. The company also offers an array of extended journeys built around Integrity’s signature Galápagos itinerary, including a 14-day Galapagos and Amazon Jungle adventure with overnight stays in a luxury eco-lodge in Amazonian Ecuador, and the 17-day Peru and Galápagos that starts in the heart of the Inca Empire in Peru.
Working at a woman-owned business with a focus on luxury hotels and hospitality, all we have to do is look around the Hawkins International offices in New York and Los Angeles to know that women have influence in the travel industry. More recently, the Castell Project’s 2021 report on Diversity of Hospitality Industry Public Company Boards found, among other things, that the boards of hospitality public companies and the Russell 3000 Index average 23% women, and that after peaking in 2019, progress on the inclusion of both Black and female hospitality board members nearly stalled in 2020. With travel transformed from a privilege of the wealthy to an escape from routines and way to maintain friendships, women emerged as influencers of a sort, stepping into the popular market for travel writing, one of the few “respectable” public activities open to them at the time, and penning guidebooks that opened eyes to the joys of luxury hotels and travel. Now Hawkins International represents several properties helmed by women, including our first client XV Beacon in Boston, now managed by Amy Finsilver; The Wigwam in the West Valley of Phoenix overseen by Managing Director Kay Powers; Thompson Seattle led by Amanda Parsons; and three Dorchester Collection properties including Le Meurice in Paris managed by Franka Holtmann, Hotel Bel-Air in Los Angeles managed by Denise Flanders, and Coworth Park in Ascot managed by Zoe Jenkins.
In 2020, Brookfield Properties’ tapped Hawkins International to reassure and encourage guests seeking in-store shopping experiences that there was a safe place to enjoy the holiday season. Knowing the impact that influencers, content creators, & social media personalities have had on the markets Brookfield Properties’ are located, Hawkins International tapped into influencer communities that speak to Brookfield Properties’ target audiences all over the country. As a result of the team’s efforts, Hawkins International secured over 20+ influencers to experiences at eleven retail destinations across the country. By approaching the campaign with this tailored and personalized strategy, Hawkins International was able to generate a wide range of assets across varying social platforms that resonated with both the influencer’s personal brand and audience’s interest.
