UK Fashion, beauty and lifestyle blog. I blog about anything and everything.
This whole outfit (apart from the tights) is entirely second hand and all in all cost me £8.50. My jumper, a brand new H&M knit was found in a charity shop in Bedminster for just £3.50 and I am quite sure it's never been worn. My skirt originates from Topshop and cost £5.00 from another charity shop along Gloucester Road which is hands down one of the best places to charity shop in Bristol. My shoes are even second hand Doc Martens that I were passed on to me from my Boyfriend's Mom who didn't want them and cost me nothing at all.
However, I did have plenty of time to peruse the handmade stalls filled with everything from craft supplies and bits to fill your DIY needs to handbags and lots and lots of tasty food. I was very pleased to notice that there were a few 'plastic free' stalls dedicated to reducing plastic waste. I purchased some lovely plastic free soap to take home with me too from It's amazing to see that reduced waste and plastic is becoming more of a thing and popular topic at the moment.
So I graduated from uni, which I am sure I have mentioned numerous times, but now I have finally got myself a degree related job working in an aerospace museum. I'm over the moon that I have landed myself a full time job within the sector that I want to work in. Whilst many of my uni class mates are off doing masters and what not, I don't want to further my education until I know exactly what it is that I want to do. So for now I'm going to work away in the heritage sector until I have more of a goal.
A lot of these photographs have been of plants because I've been visiting a lot of tropical gardens as of late and lets face it, plants are very photogenic and Instagram worthy. As a DSLR noob, it can be hard to get the settings right, from making sure its focused to learning all about exposures, white balance and shutter speeds and if you're not yet fully fluent it can be a bit daunting and make capturing beautiful images a heft task. but they both definitely took a lot of time (mainly to change the settings) and a small bit of editing to get them exactly how I wanted. With in-built editing software and with an intelligent zoom, you're guaranteed to get the best image the first time and without having to spend time editing images post-shoot.
