What is Lens

Through simple challenges, community dialog, and personal introspection, we explore our theme by looking through each month’s Lens. These are released to VIP Collective members on the first of the month via email through our Lens , and to the rest of the Collective community on Friday blog posts. The paper challenges will inspire you to play with you already have, or go on a hunt for new paper supplies, instead of forcing layouts with supplies that just don’t work for your stories. is about learning to look at the world through the lens of a feminist scrapbooker, and I know you’re ready to bring this into your everyday storytelling life.

Currently Watching: La Casa de Papel

Currently Watching is part of the Currently series inspired by the Currently List Journaling Challenge; a project that I’ve been doing continuously for over 8 years. To learn more about my free Currently List Journaling Challenge and download the free Currently List Journaling Card printable, click here. It’s a TV show, about pulling off the greatest heist at the Royal Mint of Spain, set in Madrid. If you like heists, good character development, or exciting action-thriller shows, I highly recommend La Casa de Papel or Money Heist as it’s called in here in the US.

One Little Word in 2019

We had Ali Edwards on the podcast in October to talk about December Daily and One Little Word, and as soon as we hung up the call, I’ve been trying to figure out what my word would be. If you’d like to know more about this project, definitely listen to the show, Ali gives a great rundown of the intention behind the project, what she hopes to get out of it year in and year out, and both Amanda and I talk about why we love this project as well. So, long story short, I woke up the morning of the podcast, and the word Project came to me, and it’s a great fit. She teamed up with Liz from Paislee Press to design a notebook (that’s from the One Little Word class).

December Daily 2018 Foundation Pages

Every year, I look forward to this project: December Daily by Ali Edwards, more than almost any other special project I take on throughout the year. Ali’s foundation pages blog post for 2018 has a ton of great advice for this project as well. Armed with advice from Ali and my box of stash supplies, a new album, and some stickers and 3×8 journaling cards I also picked up in Ali’s shop But if you have any questions at all on the construction of the pages, how I put together the album or anything at all relating to anything you see below or anything regarding my December Daily process, please leave a comment below, shoot me an email, or find me at the Awesome Ladies Project, my free feminist scrapbooking community.
