Salted Caramel Eggspresso Martini

I was scrolling through Instagram the other day when this recipe for an Easter cocktail from came up on my feed. How delicious would it be to serve this up to friends and family over the Easter weekend? Lucy the manager from the Potting Shed Bar at The Grounds was lovely enough to share her Melt chocolate using the double boiler method, coat the glass and tip it upside down to remove any excess, before placing it in the fridge to set overnight

Decorating for Easter

With Easter coming up in a couple of weeks I decided to pull out our Easter decor and add a few festive touches around the house. It's mainly just bunnies everywhere! I've kept it subtle with just a few small items here and there but it has us looking forward to the Easter weekend and the chocolate ;) I'm so looking forward to the Easter holidays, it feels like it has been a long term! We are all ready for a break from routine and some relaxed days

Noah turns 7!

We had cake and presents with the family on Saturday and a party with his school friends on the Sunday. It's been a long time since we have had a party at home and honestly I don't think we ever will again. It's so nice to have the kids entertained and leave the mess behind! The photo below came up on my Facebook memories, it was from Noah's 2nd birthday.

A rainy city weekend

So after some co-ordinating with the grandparents we arranged a weekend in at the Sofitel at Darling Harbour. We checked in and were thrilled to receive an upgrade to a stunning room with an amazing view over Darling Harbour, into the city and beyond! Saturday was looking a little grey and as we didn't really feel like getting amongst the hustle and bustle of the Saturday shopping crowd, we had a leisurely breakfast in the buffet restaurant downstairs and had a wander around the hotel. We checked out knowing that we would definitely be back, as the Sofitel is the perfect spot for a city stay.
