1 S T • B I R T H D A Y / We did not take family photos when I was a kid. It wasn’t popular like it is these days. When I got married, I vowed to have family pictures taken at least once a year. I wanted to be able to look back at every season of life and see those moments beautifully captured. O N E • Y E A R / One year. 365 days. • Baby girl, when you came into this world one year ago today, you completed our little family. You made Kamden a big brother, you made daddy a #girldad , and you gave me the little girl I’d always dreamed of having. • This past year was not easy. It was downright defeating. Our lives changed in more ways than we could have imagined. Bringing you into this world during a pandemic is never how we visioned you starting your little life, but you sure did bring joy and light to our family at a time when the world was experiencing so much darkness and sadness. • Today, I’m full of a range of emotions as we celebrate your birthday. I’m so happy to see your personality come through. Your little smile literally melts my heart. I’m sad because your my last child, and you’re no longer a baby. With every stage you need me a little less, and sometimes that’s more than my mama heart can handle. I’m proud of your big brother.
