IT’S GOOD FRIDAY!!! 🫶🏽 New blog post! Link in bio to read!! I pray that you all are doing well! I feel like lately, the LORD has been testing and stretching my faith in so many ways, but specifically in shedding those areas where my understanding of Him is warped or where I’ve created an image of Him in my mind that is far from His nature. Sometimes, when we go through things in life, it can either bring us closer to the LORD or farther from Him. It can be easy to doubt His promises or even question what He’s doing when faced with the unexpected or when something seems bigger than we are. Today’s blog post comes out of Joshua chapter 3, which highlights the last few moments before the Lord leads Israel into the land that He had promised them. After the generation before them was commanded to wander in the wilderness due to their unbelief, the new generation would soon inherit the land as the Lord led them through Joshua. In this chapter, God commands that the Levites carry the Ark of the Covenant in front of the Israelites as they prepare to cross the River of Jordan. The Ark contained the Ten Commandments, representing the words and character of the LORD. His Character and His Truth are what led them. Sometimes, I find myself overthinking, worrying, and questioning what God is doing simply because I can’t see the bigger picture, and usually because I’m looking for something instead of leaning on Who He is and What He has already said in His Word.💛 It’s so necessary that we allow the character and the words of God to lead us rather than our perception and ideas. If we lean on our understanding, we limit a limitless God, and ultimately, we can end up like the older generation, which continued to wander and never inherited all that God had for them. Our knowledge of God is so limited that even when we think we understand Him, we still don’t fully comprehend His nature. Everything that He wants us to know, He’ll show us, but anything else is faith in Who He is and what He’s already said and done! 🧡 All He wants is for us to follow. His Character is set apart from ours, and it’s more than enough to lead us! Click the link in my bio to read more! ^^☀️
Happy Saturday! I pray this blesses you! We are living in a war and the enemy has so many tactics for wearing out the saints, but we must stand strong in who we are and Whose we are! Remember, as we live, we are living unto the LORD, living by His Word and obeying His Truth. Nothing can stand against it. 🩵
Song: “Surrounded By Holy” @bethelmusic ”Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.“ James 4:7-8 KJV ”Seek the LORD and his strength, Seek his face continually. Remember his marvellous works that he hath done, His wonders, and the judgments of his mouth;“ 1 Chronicles 16:11-12 KJV
I hope you all are having a wonderful week!!! This verse has been on my heart this week, and I wanted to encourage you all to remember that we GET to be in an ongoing conversation with the LORD at EVERY moment of the day! His Spirit is always leading and guiding us in every way, but it’s so easy to be distracted or focused on everything around us that we may forget to invite the LORD into it all. Remember, He’s nearer than your next breath, and He always has something to say! Let us draw near to His heart today. He so loves you!🩵🪴 ”Seek the LORD and his strength, Seek his face continually.“ 1 Chronicles 16:11 KJV #jesus#insta#post#christian#holyspirit#jesuslovesyou#bible#bibleverse#holybible#instagram#art#procreate#digitalart#calligraphy
Happy Wednesday!!! I pray that you all are doing well! I wanted to share a snippet from the message on Sunday at church!! I pray that it encourages you all! Let’s have a heart of thanksgiving and gratitude because this is how we can truly encounter the LORD! God bless!! You are so loved! 💛🌻🍯 ”In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.“ 1 Thessalonians 5:18 KJV The Story of the 10 lepers: ”And it came to pass, as he went to Jerusalem, that he passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee. And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off: and they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us. And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed. And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God, and fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan. And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine? There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger. And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.“ Luke 17:11-19 KJV
Life can be like my hair sometimes, frizzy and unpredictable 😂💛, but our foundation can only be Jesus. So thankful for 23 years! 🎂 I could get emotional as I look back at years past and what each year has brought. This past year was full of fun but also troubling, low, and discouraging moments. There were moments when I would question this walk or even my purpose or God’s will, and I think the biggest takeaway is that nothing in this life is in our control. We’re not called to know all the answers or even try to grip any form of control in this life. If anything, we must trust that everything that happens is for a reason, and yes, it’s a cliche, but honestly, God is before us and behind us. If there’s one thing to keep a grip on, it HAS to be our FAITH; it MUST be our love for Christ because this life is a huge rollercoaster, but He will always stay the same! God has already written this story that we’re currently living, with its ups and downs, and yes, it can be challenging. We don’t always get it right, and situations never turn out how we think. Still, each moment of each day, we must CHOOSE JESUS because as we do so, we’re developing hinds feet, and through Christ, we are becoming stronger and stronger, becoming more and more like Jesus, and oh my goodness, you guys, that’s all I want. Nothing else matters. Love you all! ”Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.“ Hebrews 12:1-2 KJV ”Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.“ Hebrews 13:8 KJV
The enemy desires to paralyze us in every way, and when we’re going through a deep, dark valley, he wants you to feel like you’re alone. Satan wants you to wallow in EVERYTHING that doesn’t come from God, questioning every point of the walk, and to be honest, the negative feelings can be our default response if we’re not careful. When I was dealing with intense warfare this week, I got this image of a recycling symbol (♻️) and how when we’re battling that tug in the spirit, the enemy will desire that we stay in a constant cycle of relying on our thoughts, feelings/emotions, and our old heart - until we just can’t take it anymore. He wants us to think that God is not near, and the truth is, HE IS NEAR - sometimes, we’ll want to “look for God” when He’s never left. We’ll desire answers and clarity, when all we need is His Presence and our FAITH. I say this with ALL of my heart, God’s Word is the ANTIDOTE for life, because it never changes (Matt. 4:4) . Sometimes I would think, “oh that verse is nice,”without truly understanding that the Word is applicable for US in every area (2 Tim. 3:16). We won’t know the power of a weapon until we need to use it, and if we’re being attacked, we’ll be defeated if we have our weapon lying there unused and not equipped. We have to CHOOSE the Father. We have to CHOOSE His Word. His promises are something that we need to CHOOSE. We must CHOOSE to plead the Blood of Jesus over us, our loved ones, and every aspect of our lives because we are living in a WAR and the enemy knows that he only has a little time left (Rev. 12:12). We are running this race to eternity and our Father desires that we make it. (Continued in comments :))
This morning, the enemy started coming against me with so many darts you guys. Before I knew it, I was beginning to fall into patterns of insecurity and negative thoughts - it’s funny how, in just a single moment, the enemy’s voice can be louder than our Father’s if we allow it to. I started to shift my focus from the Father, and I only saw myself - that’s what satan desires. When I was listening to UPPERROOM this morning, one thing that stood out to me was the beauty in knowing that our identity is not, nor has it ever been, found in anything earthly, nor anything that we could ever do. Before you took on flesh, the Lord knew you and called you beautiful! He knew you before He knitted you in your mother’s womb, and He knows EVERYTHING about you, even the deepest things. He called you HIS before you could even blink! I had to stop and say, “Lord, only Your Words.” and I began to feel my mind being renewed, but it wasn’t easy to do. It’s funny when we struggle; we may not immediately call on the Father, but this is His delight. It’s the Father’s delight to be with you in these moments, to meet you in the mess, and to clean it - He always has something to say because He cares about you! When I think about Jesus, He shows us that to know Him is to know the Father, too, and He and the Father are One. He desires that for us. (John 17:21) We GET to be in communion with the Lord at every moment of the day, and you know something? The enemy hates that. Satan once experienced what it was like to be in heavenly places, but he lost it all when he became high-minded and wanted to exalt himself above the Most High. His job every moment of the day is to wear us out and attempt to distort our view of the Father and His Words. This is why, in the garden, he said to Eve, “Did God say…?” He wants our minds to be so weighed down by lies that the Father’s voice can be hard to hear. We are defined by the voice we listen to the most, and the question is: Who’s voice are we listening to? Jesus promised the Comforter Who would always remind us of the Lord’s Words when the enemy lurks. (John 14:26-27) You are ONLY DEFINED BY THE FATHER’S WORDS ABOUT YOU. 💛
“Take a Moment” by United Pursuit 💛🎶 He is truly everything we need, and amid the evil in this world, He’s who we get to lean into and choose every day. He’s the One Who carries us in our weaknesses. He’s the One who holds us when we need to be held. He’s the One who always comes to the rescue. He’s the One who knows us better than we know ourselves. Let us take a moment and remember all that He is because we can’t help but praise Him! 💕 His name is JESUS. 💛 ”Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.“ Matthew 11:28-30 KJV
”Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: And in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom.“ Psalm 51:6 KJV 💕 ”Search me, O God, and know my heart: Try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting.“ Psalm 139:23-24 KJV 💛
Happy Tuesday! I pray this message blesses you! Lately, I’ve been thinking about the beauty of confessing everything before the Lord, whether it be a thought pattern that doesn’t line up with His Word, or actions that don’t please Him, every day is a process of becoming more like Jesus, and spreading His truth to those around us. but you know something, we don’t always get it right, and the enemy is there to accuse us and condemn us for our mistakes. The Holy Spirit, convicts us, and He brings things to the surface of our hearts, not so that we can feel guilt or shame, but so that we can humbly come before Jesus confessing everything to him - because nothing is hidden from Him anyway- and we can lay those things down and turn from them to seek the Lord on a deeper level and put on the breast plate of righteousness and the garment of salvation. Let’s continue to run this race, because Jesus is our ultimate goal, and by His grace and mercy, we are becoming more like Him, and being sanctified and transformed day by day into His beautiful bride. 💛 ”if so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus: that ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; and be renewed in the spirit of your mind; and that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.“ Ephesians 4:21-24 KJV
