Silence Hurts provides speakers, free of charge, to educate all on what everyone needs to know to prevent child abuse, child grooming, and child trafficking.
She got counseling for her daughter, counseling for her and her husband, and family counseling for all three. Her daughter can feel comfortable in coming to her mom in the future and sharing life's mistakes with her. Had she gotten mad and yelled at and scolded her daughter, the young lady may not feel comfortable in sharing any other mistakes that she may have made in the past, or may make in the future. By having a relationship with her daughter where her daughter could always feel safe in sharing mistakes and tragedies, her daughter didn't have to bear the horror of her rape in silence.
We received our notice from the IRS the Silence Hurts Foundation has been approved to operate as a 501c3 nonprofit organization! This means that all donations to Silence Hurts Foundation are qualified as a tax deduction for charitable giving. We want to be able to continue saving children and families from the nightmare of child abuse. Knowledge is power, and it gives children and families the power to help recognize abuse when it is happening, and the power to help prevent child abuse from happening through pro-active measures.
Last night I went to an introductory meeting at Call to Arms Brewery to find out who the Save Our Youth organization is. He spoke from the heart about how Save Our Youth did indeed save him, literally. He owes his success and happy family life to Save Our Youth and his mentor. If you have the time to help save a child's life, look into volunteering as a mentor with this fine organization.
Our filing with the IRS is submitted for Silence Hurts Foundation as a 501c3 Nonprofit organization! The first day of moving forward with this project of reaching out to help save children and families from the nightmare of child abuse. I am eager and looking forward to presenting information and tools to help families protect their children from abuse, and also providing avenues of direction for those that unfortunately have already suffered abuse. My mission is to encourage everyone to speak out to someone, anyone, about any abuse they know of that is happening to a child or that has even happened to them when they were a child.
