So, in an effort to stay hip with the changing seasons and to take my mind off of this sweltering heat, Iāve decided to devote an entire blog post to welcome in everyoneās most favorite season of all āĀ fall. Now what kind of fall post would this be if I didnāt include Americaās favorite autumn drink? Itās a DIY recipe that requires a little more effort as youāll have to soak your cashews and blend them to get that creamy consistency, but its rich flavor beats out anything youāll find in a grocery store. This soup calls for a type of meat broth, but replace it with your favorite vegetable broth and serve with your favorite grainy bread and youāve got yourself a vegan fall feast!
Itās hurricane season in Hawaii right now and everyoneās going crazy over buying supplies in preparation for the storms to hit: grocery stores are jam-packed with people, pallets of water are being cleared within minutes, and gas stations are lined with cars leading into the streets! At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. The foolish ones said to the wise, āGive us some of your oil; our lamps are going out.ā āNo,ā they replied, āthere may not be enough for both us and you. We can prepare and prepare our lives here on earth for our future hopes and dreams, but without accepting Jesus as our Lord and Savior, weāll not only miss out on His blessings in this lifetime ā weāll miss out on eternal life altogether.
Psalm 3:2-6 How awful it must have been to have had enemy armies after you, plotting to kill and destroy any remembrance of you, hoping that it would hinder Godās plan. With everything that life can throw at us, it can feel like Godās far, far away, just watching us drown in agony. While it is human nature to doubt (it actually strengthens faith), the devil adds worry, panic, and anxiety to the mix to ensure that we donāt grow; that we remain stuck in our doubt long enough to remove all hope that Godās love is real. If you're in need of a friend, just pull up a chair, grab your favorite drink, and let's talk life together.
