But, in London, people start pretty much after Halloween, which isn’t even widely celebrated here. If you’re American and reading this,I want you to stop for a minute and write in the comments what you think a Mince Pie is before reading the rest of this. I feel like Christmas pudding is the equivalent to the American fruit cake. It’s pretty much the British equivalent of black friday and it’s terrifying to be in central London on this day because the crowds are wild.
I headed to see both the Insight Investment Astronomy Photographer of the Year gallery the Moon exhibit at The National Maritime Museum. You can see all of the winning images plus some favorites and runner ups at the National Maritime Museum. Tickets cost 9 pound for adults and 4.50 for children if you buy them online. It’s come to the National Maritime Museum to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 Moon landing.
Taking an island break in Jersey is one of the best things I’ve done in a really long time. It’s the perfect place to capture the sunset if you don’t care too much about walking out to the lighthouse. An island break isn’t complete without enjoying a meal beside the sea! Food doesn’t always have to be fussy and if you don’t have a ton of time and are looking for a quick bite, head to Nude Food.
I suggest grabbing a bite to eat on one of the canal boats and then enjoy a stroll through the canals where you’ll find shades of yellow, orange, and red dotting the trees around you. And that’s because for a very limited time, the leaves that drape over this entry way turn the most gorgeous shade of red. The leaves change to all different colors here and if you walk up the hill, you can get a gorgeous view of the Maritime Museum surrounded by shades of orange, yellow, and red. The leaves surrounding the walkways turn a deep, deep red, and a walk by the canal on a crisp fall day is wonderful.
