There are different types of holidays out there for families and whilst the girls have been young, we’ve steered more toward things that are accessible, have home from home facilities and are a steady pace. Thanks to Calmac Ferries, we had the chance to visit Bute, an Island just a half hour ferry ride off the West coast Scottish mainland. The girls were rather excited about the idea of bunk beds and Of course having our own space and facilities made it a home from home. We were walking distance from Bute Castle, which we sadly didn’t get to go inside (due to renovation) but this is opening again in December and until then you can make the most of the going around the outside and nipping to Bute Museum to catch up on the history of the Island.
So when I was tasked by Boots.com to pick the perfect present from their range of Christmas gifts, I knew it had to be Liv. Her best friend had one at her birthday party and Liv cherishes the snaps to this day. One of the sad things about taking so many photos is how not many of them see the actual light of day in printed form, so the Instax gave her the ability to hit 2 birds with one stone. Whatever the reasons, there are clearly 2 camps and this time last year I could have joined those who were happy about it, but this year… put me on the other side of the fence!
