Visiting Texas Tulips: Everything You Need To Know

While bluebonnets are the most popular flowers to blossom this time of year, Texans will soon know all about the beautiful tulip farm in Pilot Point, Texas. However, from February through April, they open their farm to the public and allow visitors to enjoy the tulip fields in bloom. I stopped by Texas Tulips at the end of March and can say it is my favorite Springtime activity in the DFW area. But before you go, here is some information about the farm and a few things I’ve learned from my first visit.

Essential Travel Photography Gear

I say versatile because you can separate the top of the bag from the bottom part of the pack, which contains a detachable padded camera case. So you can store one camera body and 1-2 lenses in the bottom portion and your other personal belonging in the top area. Even if I have to switch to another bag, I always keep my camera in this padded case. Inside the case is closed cell padding and soft cotton lining with inverse tapers (shockproof) and two slots for memory cards, so no matter what I know my gear is safe.

Real Talk: Why You Should NOT Visit Santorini

When we booked the itinerary of 20+ cities, Santorini was the ONE I was excited for the most. Over the past 10 years, I saw so many incredible photos of Santorini and countless people told me it was their favorite place in the world. However, we rented a car and drove the entire island (something most people who stay for a week or more don’t do). I realize this is a VERY unpopular opinion, but here are the reasons why I think Santorini is overrated and why you should NOT visit.

The 8 Best Winter Activities In West Virginia

After driving through the snowy countryside and exploring different regions of West Virginia, I truly believe John Dever was right to call this place almost heaven. This February I had the wonderful opportunity to visit the mountain state with none other than the West Virginia Tourism Office. The only two things I knew about the state were the capital (Charleston) and its location (West of Virginia, near Washington D. C.). However, after spending five days touring this beautiful state, I’ve learned so much and want to share that information with you!
