But here we see Jesus, facing death, facing the wrath of God, the separation from God, the sin of the world placed on him. We know His plans are better than anything we could ever think of, and yet we often pray as if our plans are the way to go. So this week I want to encourage you to ask for God’s will. Our plans may night be the same as His plans…but His plans are always better, even if they do not make sense at the present moment.
So, as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience; bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone; just as the Lord forgave you, so also should you. but when I couldn’t figure out how to forgive myself…I began to wonder why God would forgive me. I added verse 12 for you this week because I believe it’s extremely important, “put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience;” If you’re struggling to forgive someone, please remember who God made you to be. You always hear, “if you don’t love yourself, you can’t truly love others
It’s not a doubt in His ability, power, or grace. It’s not a doubt that He is capable, I know He is It’s a doubt that He wants to. he wants you to doubt…to feel as though God isn’t going to see you through your struggle.
Yesterday I wrote about how we need to not let the world overpower the Word. He wants us to encourage each other, to help them walk in the light. I don’t think Jesus sat with his disciples and gossiped about the guy down the street and how his beard is unkept. Friends, this week I want to encourage you to stop gossiping.
