Whether you have big Valentine’s Day plans or not, doing a fun, Valentine’s Day inspired makeup look can be a lot of fun. I’m late to the game on this, but the Smashbox Cali Contour Palette has been my new favourite makeup product! I used the contour shade to contour my face, the matte blush on the apples of my cheeks, and used the matte highlight to highlight the high points of my face. This matte pencil is comfortable to wear and is a really pretty shade for Valentine’s Day, or for everyday wear.
Pandemic or not, Cole and I have always opted to celebrate Valentine’s Day at home. Since Valentine’s Day is on Sunday I think I’m going to make a special breakfast in bed and Cole is going to surprise me with dinner. There are so many fun ways to celebrate Valentine’s Day at home, so today I thought I would share some of my favourite ideas with you: Do you have any other fun ways to celebrate Valentine’s Day at home?
While I’ve definitely gotten more sure of myself now that I’m in the latter half of my twenties, I still have my days where I’m not feeling my most confident. I notice it comes on when I’m feeling self-conscious though, so correcting my posture and standing up straight is one of the first things I can do to feel more confident! Showing up for myself the way I want to be helps me feel like I’m now working towards those goals which can be a big confidence boost! If you have someone who is always looking on the negative side of things or is constantly criticizing you, it’s going to hinder your self confidence.
The formula has something for everyone to like as it gives insane volume, lengthens lashes, and curls them all while conditioning them at the same time. I love how lifted and dramatic my lashes look when I wear this mascara and have been coming back to it time and time again for years now! The gel formula gives very dramatic volume to the lashes without smudging or flaking while also lengthening the lashes and curling them. This is a fiber-infused formula though, so if you don’t like that, this mascara might be one to pass on; but if you like the added length and volume fiber formulas give, this is a great mascara to try out!
