Welcome to another monthly online income report! You might be here because you wondering, “how much money do bloggers make” or, “how I make money blogging”, which is what I am going to be talking about today. I’m calling it an online income report since it not only incorporates the blog income but also YouTube earnings
What comes out before our budget: Here’s the monthly budget for our take home pay so far for April 2019: Creating the monthly budget with an outlook for all the upcoming expenses helps us create a more accurate paycheck to paycheck budget once we get paid. We’ve dabbled in sinking funds but it wasn’t until last month when I paid for my car tags from the car maintenance/replacement fund that I realized how useful sinking funds could be. Here’s how we’ve set up our sinking funds for April: Future sinking funds will also include home repairs/maintenance, Penny items, and Christmas gifts. I get a lot of questions about what I use with my planners and the apps I use to keep my budget on track every month
I decided to pay off the debt and give my whole family the freedom from debt that we deserve. My January 2019 Debt Update showed how the debt was down to $35,423.73. I’m realizing that earning extra income is key to paying off the debt faster without as much heartache. However I’m going to keep trying to have as many big debt repayment months as possible!
Here are a few of the ways I’m stopping the impulse spending habit: I have a list of all the things I really want to buy. If you see something you want in a store, tell yourself you can come back and buy it in 24 hours if you still really want it. If an item you want is still desperately desired after 24 hours, go ahead and buy it if it’s within budget! Forcing yourself to think abut why you want to buy something forces you to see if you really want the item of if you are trying to meet a completely different emotional need.
