Because let me tell you right now, I’ve always been interested in like “interviewing” people or just sitting down and talking to people to learn about what they know. Chris has SO much knowledge about SO many things. I feel like we could have chatted for HOURS, BUT ain’t Without further adieu… click the link below and get to know a little bit more about Chris, and get to know a little more about nutrition, health, wellness and ALL of the things!
What I need as a 29 year old female vs. another 29 year old female might be 100% different. There were a couple things that I predicted would be low (iron being one of them) but there were several things that I had never considered could be causing be problems (vitamin D being low, zinc being low, hormones being way off balance etc.) There is only so much you can do with balancing your nutrition traditionally– but the Functional Blood Chemistry Report and Clinical Consultation shows what you might need to add in as far as specific foods for your needs and/or supplementation etc. Chris and Beth really left no stone left unturned in the meeting and I feel so much better knowing that I am on the right path and can set up further meetings with my doctors to get things back to normal.
I didn’t share a TON, but I did share several tips or thoughts that I had on how to stay “healthy” on vacation.. or how to bring healthy habits with you along your travels. But I gained WAY more than 2 pounds on this vacation and here’s what I mean…… By ditching my fitness pal, ditching my food scale, and ditching any expectations for HAVING to exercise or HAVING to eat a certain amount of food I GAINED. There have been trips I’ve taken where I workout every day and track my food, and there have been trips where I have WAY over indulged.
I’ve been on sports teams my entire life, and yes we’ve all supported each other and gone through the highs and lows.. but something about this team that we’ve created here at Cyclebar is special, and I’m not just talking about the staff or instructors… This isn’t necessarily a lesson– but Cyclebar has opened the door to meeting some of the best people I’ve met. The limits you push, the strength you find in class doesn’t always stem from physical strength; Its mental strength. Fitness isn’t always about how many calories you burn, sometimes its about being proud of how hard you pushed, sometimes its about just being proud of showing up even if you didn’t have the ride you hoped for.. sometimes its just about having fun and laughing during class.
