Masking 🤡 it as being content. ⠀ ⠀ Suppressing their desires and creativity in exchange for ”stability”. ⠀ ⠀ I challenge you today, to remind yourself every day that if you don’t like where you are, it is up to you to make a change. ⠀ ⠀ Find a way to incorporate your creativity into your daily life. It could be something as simple as writing a poem on your way to work, incorporating creativity into your next presentation. Find what works best for you and your peace of mind.⠀ ⠀ ⠀ Never let your current situation block your future reality.

At first we felt comfort to see #blacklivesmatter acknowledged in PR, then discouraged to see it crossed out. (As weak of an attempt as it may have been). . 🗣🗣🗣This is also an example of the backlash that we receive as artists, or as humans when we decide to use our voice to spread awareness or use art as a form of activism. Make no mistake, YOUR VOICE IS ESSENTIAL. 🗣🗣🗣 . We urge you to continue to do what you need to in order to stay grounded during these unprecedented times and when you feel weak or discouraged, know that the fight we are fighting is on a global scale. ART is everywhere. ARTISTS are essential. (featuring street art by @_dilemma.art & @anatomiko.design) 🎨✨. . . . We (Nova & Mack) are currently taking some time to enjoy life, people, art and culture en la isla de encanta 🇵🇷 🌴. . Despite all the craziness happening in the world we decided to still go on our planned trip to Puerto Rico this month (taking all necessary precautions, wearing masks in public and keeping our social distance). This trip may have turned out different than we originally planned, but that’s the beauty of life, our adaptability and resilience. . 🎨👥We are artists and humans too, and are deeply affected by what’s going on around us. We sometimes take breaks to recharge and recover so we can come back stronger than ever. Our whole operation is run by a team of three, we also get overwhelmed and feel burn out at times. Although we may not always be active on social media, we are always working behind the scenes to take care of ourselves, our network of artists and to contribute to our community the best way we can. . ✊🏿✊🏾✊🏽✊🏼We see you all striving and accomplishing amazing things personally and in the community and we salute your efforts. Please take more time to reflect, process, and take care of yourself. This battle we are currently facing is a marathon not a sprint and we all need to be at our highest self in order to contribute in a meaningful and sustainable way. . ☀️ ☀️ ☀️ Wishing you a safe, happy summer filled with an abundance of love and laughter.
