Somehow we managed to get 15 women’s gear, bikes, food, water and bodies into 5 vehicles and tag-teamed it about 25 miles to the start/end point – Mineral Bottom Road. Because it was a bit more mellow of a day, I got to spend time on the trail with each woman. While I rode my bike down to the trucks then ran back up the hill to get the bike left behind, the physical therapist and another gentle, caring woman walked our injured WILD woman down the hill to the trucks. Being on a long-distance adventure with 15 women results in 15 different experiences, 15 different viewpoints, 15 different take-aways and 15 different lives changed in 15 different ways.
If more people would learn how to properly hinge (and strengthen their midline), we would omit a lot of low back pain in this world! Get organized: stand with feet hip width apart or as wide as needed to pick up the object, pull shoulders back to set lats, take a big deep belly breath in and brace midline. I would say 9.9 times out of 10, when people are learning to hinge, their head is disconnected from the rest of their body. I’ve had 3 weeks to reflect on the last WILD Women adventure and finally am writing to tell you all about it. Where do I even begin… If I had to pick one word for this adventure, it would be healing
Well hello there!!!! Sorry I’ve been MIA the last few weeks. I wouldn’t exactly use the word “balanced” to describe my current life situation, to say the least
