When I found out that Mooby’s, the fictional fast food restaurant in several of his movies, was having a pop up in LA, I was so jealous. We were home within minutes, where we turned on the most recent Kevin Smith movie, Jay and Silent Bob Reboot (which is amazing and perfectly nostalgic if you haven’t seen it!) and sat down with our food. Thank you Kevin Smith for creating this amazing, quirky, and delicious fast food restaurant, and making it come to life for us die hard fans. Close to the theatres in the heart of downtown Vancouver is Dublin Calling Pub, but for a short time we can happily refer to it as Mooby’s Vancouver!

Instead of the 12 days of Christmas, in Iceland, in the 13 days leading up to Christmas, 13 mischievous troll like creatures visit the children of iceland who put their best shoes by the windowsill. The trolls will leave candy and small gifts in the shoes of the good children, but the naughty children get shoes full of rotten potatoes. In Japan, Christmas isn’t a national holiday, but it is the time when families eat KFC for dinner. Beginning on Christmas eve, families will share a wafer, called Oplatek, each breaking off a piece to eat and wishing each other a Merry Christmas.

This month I finally got a new phone after having an iPhone that barely worked the last 2 years. had one since moving into this apartment nearly 6 years ago since we just don’t have space, but a friend gave us a small one that’s perfect for the space. While I don’t encourage travel right now, I wanted to share these photos to hopefully inspire you to visit Puerto Vallarta. MOVIES – Inspector Gadget, Friday the 13th (1980), all of the Harry Potter movies, Night School, Friday the 13th (2009), Freddy VS Jason, Aquaman, Pixels, Invincible, Holidate, Venom, Like a boss, Finding Nemo, Rocky, Ponyo, The Princess Switch, Rocky 2.

After an incredible day exploring the jungle and seeing where the movie Predator was filmed, we stopped in the small local fishing village of Boca de Tomatlan and had a drink and some tortilla chips. While my Estigo Tours excursion was the most carefree and fun day of my trip, our visit to El Cora Crocodile Sanctuary was the most educational and inspiring. This photo is of walking into the pool area at the Marriott, which is just such a beautiful hotel and outdoor space. While this photo is taken during the day, my favorite time to go down to the pool was at night time, when the pool was nearly empty, so we had it to ourselves.
