We have worked hard to create our dream farmhouse on a 5 acre cherry orchard and share each step along the way. Now that we have our "heaven on earth" we want to begin exploring the world. We are a family of 4 who do it all together…run a small brick and mortar, travel, diy, and try to create as many memories as we can together as a family. We started with IG, and after gaining over 60K followers, decided to start a blog. Now that the blog is up and running, we have decided to begin vlogging our journeys and sharing more about our travels FROM Orchard Slope. What started as a home decor/diy journey 3 years ago, has now become more of a lifestyle account with a very engaged following.

I created a simple vignette for my coffee table, but I use the exact same ideas for shelves, tiered trays, dressers, entryways, etc. If I wanted more on my tray, I would add another small group of 3, or add a group to each end to make 5 groups. So if I was going to create an open shelves display, I would create 3 groups of 3 across my shelves. As you can see I just add and group MORE smaller vignettes together to create a larger shelf or tiered tray display.
Mud pie has been a staple at family birthday parties for as far back as I can remember, but Ethan threw a little wrench in my plans when he asked…”Can they each have a little individual mud pie…like a cupcake?? Use pretty sturdy cups because the crust on the bottom takes some effort to get out… You can use this same recipe for traditional mud pie too…just use a 9×13 pan instead of individual cups. Enjoy these yummy cups and DO NOT blame me if you NEED one every night after dinner…haha.

ARE YOU AS CONFUSED AS I AM??? . I woke up and had no clue what day is...like I literally COULD NOT figure out if it was Saturday or Thursday!! Well to say things have changed around here would be an understatement of epic proportions. My house is pretty much never clean, but it is REALLY not clean with all of us home all day. I am spending WAY more time playing board games and watching Daddy Daycare and WAY less time decorating, cleaning, and creating. I haven't rushed to get ready and go anywhere in weeks...no yelling at my kids to HURRY UP and NO digging around for missing shoes as we watch the school bus drive by. But the thing that has changed the most...ME!! I have rekindled my love of learning and teaching and am LOVING homeschooling these two crazies. I have learned to slow down and play a board game...and then play it again...and again...AND AGAIN. I have looked at bugs, picked weed bouquets, played on the swing set, and even dissected a flipping crawfish y'all (proof in my stories). BUT... no pretty Easter tablescape this year. No stressing that I have a half finished puzzle on my diningroom table (from 2 weeks ago). No checking follower counts and engagement rates. Just me and these two tiny humans that have my whole heart and are currently getting my WHOLE attention. On tonight's agenda...watching the choreographed dance number they have been working on together to Baby Shark (I can't even make this stuff up🤣🤣), playing our new card game, and eating what is left of the chocolate Easter bunnies. I'm loving the opportunity we have this year to slow down the sabbath day and enjoy our little families. We are celebrating our Savior and enjoying each other today quietly in our home. No fuss. No stress. No big elaborate ANYTHING. If this quarantine has taught me ANYTHING, it is that I need to slow down, worry less about the things that don't REALLY matter, and embrace the time I have with my tiny humans. I have played with them, read with them, baked with them, and enjoyed EVERY second.
