I thought it might be useful hearing from an expert for couples struggling to decide if they should or shouldn’t hire a wedding planner for their wedding day. If you know you aren’t going to have the time to commit to the planning process (and boy is it a process), you should start looking for someone you connect with right away. I find that most of my clients come to me because they simply don’t have the time they need to plan a successful event. And, if we’re talking about me ( Jenni Grubba Events ), I’ll make sure Grandma has her coffee after dinner, but before desert.
University of California Botanical Garden Wedding was a reminder of why I absolutely love shooting at this Berkeley wedding venue. Nolan and Karen prepared for their wedding in their apartment with incredible views of the Bay Bridge. Karen is the kind of bride every wedding photographer dreams about. I hope to have the privilege of shooting at the Botanical Gardens for a third time and crossing my fingers for more smiling couples like Karen and Nolan.
There’s no question that one of the biggest regrets brides have from their wedding day is not hiring a videographer. While photography is wonderful for capturing details from your day and special moments, being able to actually see yourself walking down the aisle or reading your vows to your spouse is something only video can capture. But a videographer can capture these moments on video, and allow you to watch them as though you were really there, and see even more moments than you were able to on your wedding day. Keep in mind that the only two things you’ll have from your wedding day once it’s finished is photos and video.
The way in which I booked this Mountain House Estate wedding will be the all time weirdest way I received a wedding referral. Never in my wildest dreams could I imagine traveling that far to end up booking a wedding literally fifteen minutes away from my house. Mountain House Estate is one of my favorite venues and still only forty five minutes drive from my house.
