My New Collection with Williams Sonoma Home

You’ll find a lot of references to the classic design motifs I love which we reinterpreted in a fresh, modern way– chinoiserie, a custom-designed ikat print, hexagonal shapes, black and white stripes, and a super chic Greek key pattern that we used on the most fabulous bedding as well as on some throw pillows. My favorite thing about the collection is that it is filled with beautiful, bespoke details such as the appliqué and Swiss knots on the bedding and pillows or the ikat pattern which was hand-painted exclusively for this collection. Nancy visiting you from Marcus Design blog for another Dissecting the Details... Chinoiserie Panels for Sale–UPDATE: SOLD I am not the kind of designer who constantly redesigns their home from top... This week, One Kings Lane published a wonderful story and feature on our dear... Merry Christmas 2018!

A Designer's Pattern-Filled Apartment

Lilse McKenna is a talented, young interior designer who first came onto my radar via Instagram where she has shared sneak peeks of her super charming apartment. Naturally, I was delighted to see a tour of the full space on One Kings Lane recently. One thing that I love about Lilse’s work is the way in which she infuses the spaces she designs with interesting patterns and rich textures, resulting in a look that is layered and cozy. Her home is filled home with a level of character, architectural details, and furnishings you wouldn’t normally expect to find in a New York City rental, but Lilse says she has treated each rental she has had as a mini shophouse of sorts, experimenting with new fabrics, techniques, and motifs and enjoying the fruits of her labor until it’s time to move again.
