The point-to-point trail starts from City One MTR Station, where the trail crosses Ma On Shan Country Park via MacLehose Trail Section 4. From the summit, Suicide Cliff is just a short hike down a steep rocky cliff. While this path will eventually lead you to Kowloon Peak and Suicide Cliff, this is also the starting point for hiking West Buffalo Hill, another challenging hike with panoramic views of all the mountains in the area. Backtrack to the end of Elephant Hill trail and descend down Kowloon Peak mountain Remember the perpendicular junction at the end of Elephant Hill trail?
Then follow the Wilson Trail Section 9 trail and hike across the mountain ridge towards Pat Sin Leng and finish the hike by descending Pat Sin Leng Nature Trail towards Tai Mei Tuk. Hike across the mountain range in Pak Sin Leng Country Park Follow the path where it takes you up and down the hills along the mountain range in Pak Sin Leng Country Park. At Shun Yeung Fung, the first peak and the highest peak of the 8 immortal hiking trail, you can see several other peaks on Pat Sin Leng mountain range and the hiking trail connecting each peak. And in theory, you can start hiking from Tai Mei Tuk to the most western peak of Pat Sin Leng and hike back to Tai Mei Tuk.
In this post, I’ll show you exactly how to hike the Plover Cove Country Park circular hiking trail and how you should prepare for this epic hiking trail. The best way to hike Plover Cove Reservoir circular trail is to start in Wu Kau Tang, hike the entire circular path, continue onto Tai Mei Tuk Family Walk and finish the trail in Tai Mei Tuk, where you can take a public bus or minibus back to an MTR Station. Take either minibus 20R or a cab (costs ~$120HKD) at Tai Po Market MTR Station Exit A3, to the start of Plover Cove Reservoir Country Trail, which is located in Wu Kau Tang Village (see map). Both Pat Sin Leng hiking trail and Plover Cove Reservoir trail end in Tai Mei Tuk, an area known for Tai Po District’s outdoor activities.
