Some like it hot! Do you know where the term deviled eggs comes from? To “devil” a food meant to cook it with a spicy seasoning or over very high heat (according to the Oxford English Dictionary). Spring has sprung here in Louisiana and what better way to bring in beautiful weather, than with a slice of homemade sour cream pound cake. She was known for her great cooking, but it was something about her Sour Cream Pound Cake that was an absolute crowd-pleaser. Well fast forward little did I know I would be getting a maid to help with all my other household duties I normally have to elicit the help of my Aunt Maxine because at times I seem to have quite an imagination on how NaNa prepared some things.

SAVE FOR LATER📣📣📣📣 Need a quick and easy lunch or dinner that doesn’t require a lot of ingredients? Oh and it’s 😊 Try my baked chicken ⬇️ 4-6 leg quarters Salt and pepper to taste 1 bottle of Zesty Italian Dressing 🧑🏾🍳🧑🏾🍳🧑🏾🍳🧑🏾🍳🧑🏾🍳🧑🏾🍳🧑🏾🍳🧑🏾🍳🧑🏾🍳 Season leg quarters with salt and pepper and place in Ziploc bag. Pour in the dressing and seal bag. Place in refrigerator and marinate for 2-4 hours. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Place leg quarters in 9x13 baking dish or larger coat with the marinade. Tent baking dish with foil and cook for 45 minutes. Remove foil and brush leg quarters lightly with EVOO and turn oven up to 425 and cook for 30 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool. Serve with your favorite sides like @zatarains jambalaya and steamed broccoli Omniley😘 . . . “Southern Flair and We Keep it Classy”
