You can all call her crazy Out of her mind And out of her prime You can say her horse is slow Not bred well enough Her trailer too old She should just give up But there’s someone else who believes Is you can decide if they’re yours Or hand them right back to those slight minded fools Girl you got this I know you can
A friend and I were talking yesterday about goals and achievements and how they are not aligned in such a way that as you achieve small goals, then you will automatically achieve larger goals and then even larger after that. There have been times in my life where my goals were enormous and inspiring and other times when the goal was just to go enter. maybe it’s to not hit a barrel at the next jackpot, either way just know that doesn’t make you any less or more of a barrel racer. When I first started my career, I thought that my Cowgirl-ish-ness was a valuable asset to the teams that I worked with, but the more and more meetings I attended, the more and more I realized that I needed to scale it back and put it where it belonged–in hiding. Now enters Gay Gaddis, author of Cowgirl Power: How to Kick Ass in Business and Life.
