It had been almost 3 weeks since the last time I was in the gym, so I scaled back my workout to avoid getting too sore…still pretty sore though. This is the middle room of 3 where the free weights are: It’s in the basement of one of the older buildings and I wonder what the original purpose of this string of rooms was. I had taken one class at this studio before and wasn’t really a fan of their class style, but thought I would give it a second chance. 8.2 miles – my first actually-long long run post-injury.
This is what the streets in my neighborhood looked like last weekend: The week before last I did all my running (a total of 14 miles) around town in these less-than-delightful conditions. Shortly after I started this run, I started hearing loud snapping/creaking noises and wondered what large animal was crashing around in the woods. Weekly total: 18.5 miles, with 2,900 feet elevation gain. I think I’m going to do a separate post about it (she says, while wondering when the last time was she posted more than once a week…), so watch for that if you’re interested.
